Explore your creativity in 2024! This class is designed for all levels of artists, from beginner to experienced. We will learn the fundamentals of painting the still life with watercolor and gouache (opaque watercolor), working to develop our own unique style. I will explain my techniques step-by-step so that you can follow along.

My hope is to re-think painting with water media, with the premise that everyone, no matter their experience, can produce strong work and grow in confidence and ability. We will be working from photo references, as well as from life. Students will be offered a variety of still life arrangements to work from and will also be able to create their own arrangements. 

The class will meet six consecutive Tuesday mornings, from 9:30 to 12:00 at the Lihue Public Library conference room, beginning Tuesday, June 11th, and ending Tuesday, July 16th. Space is limited and enrollment will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Your space will be reserved upon receipt of tuition payment.

Students will bring their own art materials. I will send you a suggested supply list when you enroll. The conference room is comfortable and has a sink.
